The multinational automobile manufacturer Renault is all set to reveal the new Duster SUV on November 29, 2023. Renault first unveiled the first-generation Duster in 2013, but because of its low demand, the company had to stop production in 2020. The Duster SUV could make its comeback in India, as the sports utility vehicle segment is witnessing a high demand in the market. Renault’s other SUVs, like the Triber and Kriger, are widely popular in the country. And now, the new Duster SUV is going to give a drastic boost to Renault’s sales in India.

The French automaker has already leaked images of the new SUV. The car bears a bit of resemblance to the previous Duster, but it comes with more updated features. The new SUV comes equipped with a new engine, an updated interior, and fresh looks. Renault and its UK partner Dacia have jointly designed and manufactured this new raging SUV. If the French auto manufacturer finally launches this SUV in India, it is definitely going to be a tough competitor against other SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta, etc.

The new-gen Duster SUV comes with a new design that varies from the original version of the SUV. However, Renault has also taken some design prompts from the earlier model and added them to the new-gen SUV. The car comes with a new radiator grille, horizontal LED headlights, and a newly designed bumper with air intakes. The Duster SUV gets a new Y-shaped light cluster at the rear, and it gets a sloping rear window along with a spoiler. The Duster will be based on Renault’s famous CMF-B platform. The company utilizes this same platform for its EVs too. The SUV could also be available in a new internal combustion engine-powered model, with CNG and hybrid versions as well. With its CMF-B platform, the company can also develop an electric duster.

On the inside, the Renault Duster will get updated features such as a redesigned dashboard and upholstery. It could also include features like a digital driver display, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger to charge mobile devices, wireless connectivity, and automatic climate control.

The new-generation Duster is expected to be available with options for both hybrid and petrol powertrains. The company may include a 1.2 litre mild-hybrid unit that can churn out around 130 bhp peak power and a 1.6-litre hybrid powertrain that can produce 140 bhp peak power. The Renault Duster is expected to come with both manual and automatic gearbox options.
