MG Windsor PRO Gets New "Exclusive" Variant for Rs. 17.24 Lacs

The Windsor fans in India get one more option in the market with the launch of the MG Windsor Exclusive PRO. This car comes with a bigger battery and longer range with more basic features than the top-spec model.

JSW MG Motor India has launched a new variant in its Windsor car lineup, known as MG Windsor Exclusive PRO. This will help the company to target a broader set of buyers in India.

This new variant positions itself in a highly competitive segment of the Indian automotive market within the EV space. It could compete with Tata Nexon EV Long Range, Mahindra XUV400 EV EL Pro, Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and MG ZS EV.

MG Windsor Exclusive PRO Variant price and booking

This new variant is priced at Rs. 17,24,800 lacs (ex-showroom). The price of this variant is Rs. 12.24 lacs (ex-showroom) under the BaaS scheme.

This model allows buyers to significantly lower the initial purchase price as the battery is "rented." Owners have to pay a separate usage fee of Rs. 4.5/km for the battery.

Bookings for the new variant are open for a token amount of ₹11,000, and deliveries will commence in the first week of June 2025.

MG Windsor Exclusive PRO Variant highlights

The Windsor EV has been reported as the largest-selling electric car in India for seven consecutive months (as of May 2025). This EV's success can be attributed to a combination of strategic pricing, compelling features, and innovative ownership models (BaaS).

The new Exclusive variant is positioned between the existing Essence and Essence PRO variants and offers a balance of premium features and extended range

The key highlight is the inclusion of the 52.9 kWh battery pack, which offers a certified MIDC range of 449 km on a single charge. It supports 60 kW DC fast charging (20-80% charge in ~50 minutes). It also comes with a 7.4 kW AC home charger (9.5 hours for a 0-100% charge).

  • Aero lounge seats, reclinable up to 135 degrees
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Electrically adjustable driver's seat
  • 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • 9-speaker sound system
  • i-Smart connected features
  • AI-based voice commands
  • Wireless Charging
  • 18-inch machined alloy wheels

The car is available in Pearl White, Starry Black, and Turquoise Green paint options.
