About Tata

Tata Motors Limited is the largest automobile company in India. During the financial year 2013-14, Tata Motors recorded consolidated revenues of INR 232,834 Crores. Tata Motors is the leader in commercial vehicle segment and is among the top manufacturers of passenger vehicles. The manufacturer is winning hearts around the country with its compact and midsize cars. Formerly known as Telco (Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company), the company was established in 1935. Two decades later, the company expanded its operation to the commercial vehicle after getting into a joint venture with Daimler-Benz AG of Germany. Three dates post the collaboration; Tata created Indica – passenger car which did not do well at first, however, the V2 version of the car won numerous accolades for the design and engine used. The success of Indica led to its demand in Europe, especially the UK.

When we talk about the new Tata car models or those which entered the market post-2010: Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor, Tata Hexa, Tata Zest, Safari Storme, Sumo Gold, Nano, Bolt, Venture are few of them. Inarguably, there is no dearth of Tata cars in India. The best part about these car models is that all of them are budget friendly. Regardless of the price segment, they are competing in, the price they have kept is relatively lower than the competitive cars.

Tata Motors has been a key player in the automobile industry and the stock market as well; the brand has a declining stock market value currently, but due to the minds that run the company, it is expected to get to its position in no time. Recently, the company has also bagged the National Energy Conservation Award 2017 for its Jamshedpur plant.

Tata’s entry-level hatchbacks are priced under INR 2.5 Lakh. It is followed by Tiago, Indica V2 and Indica eV2 all priced under INR 6 Lakh. Moving on to sedans, they have Zest and Tigor both of which fall under the INR 6 Lakh range. They have an SUV in Tata Nexon which is priced at INR 6 Lakh and the flagship Tata car model – Tata Hexa which is priced at INR 12 Lakh. Based on the pricing patterns, you can understand how Tata is way affordable than its competitors. New Tata car models are being introduced each year and the next year will be the same. One of the most anticipated upcoming Tata cars includes Racemo.
