Honda is back with a new litre-class street naked Hornet motorcycle, called Honda CB 1000 Hornet SP. This bike is built for exhilarating rides on public roads and offers a blend of power, agility, and modern electronics.
This bike directly challenges some well-established and popular models in the Indian market. Its competitors include Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple R/RS/Moto2 Edition, Suzuki GSX-S1000, BMW S 1000 R, Ducati Streetfighter V2, and Yamaha MT-09.
Honda CB 1000 Hornet SP price and variants
The new powerful Honda bike is launched at Rs. 12.35 lacs (ex-showroom). Presently, only the "SP" variant of the CB1000 Hornet has been launched in India.
The bike is likely available in shades of Matte Black Metallic and Pearl Glare White and features gold-colored forks and calipers. Bookings for this bike are open now, and interested customers can place their bookings at Honda's premium BigWing Topline dealerships across India. The deliveries are scheduled to commence from June 2025 onwards.

Honda CB 1000 Hornet SP key features
The "SP" designation indicates a higher-spec, performance-oriented variant, and it comes packed with premium features. The first thing you observe in this bike is its pure streetfighter styling with sharp lines, a muscular fuel tank, and a minimal tail section.
It has a premium suspension system with fully adjustable front 41mm Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork Big Piston) inverted fork and fully adjustable rear Öhlins TTX36 remote-reservoir monoshock, operating through Pro-Link.
Moreover, the bike features front dual 310mm floating discs gripped by top-tier Brembo Stylema radial-mount four-piston calipers and a single 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper rear brake with dual-channel ABS.

Honda CB 1000 Hornet SP engine and other specifications
It is powered by a 999cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 16-valve, inline-four DOHC engine. It has a power output of 155 bhp at 11,000 rpm and torque output of 107 Nm at 9,000 rpm with a 6-speed gearbox.
This engine is derived from the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade but retuned for this model.
