The Tata Nexon facelift has scored a full 5-star rating in a Global NCAP crash test. After the Safari and Harrier facelifts, the Tata Nexon facelift has scored a full rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programmes (GNCAP). Tata Motors launched the subcompact SUV on the Indian market last year. For adult occupant protection, the facelift scored 32.22 points out of 34, and for child occupant protection, it got 44.52 points. The car became the first made-in-India car to bag a 5-star rating from the organization.

The Nexon facelift comes loaded with advanced safety features like six airbags, ISOFIX restraints, 3-point seatbelts for all occupants, a 360-degree surround view system, front parking sensors, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), blind view monitoring, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Back in 2023, the updated versions of Tata Safari and Tata Harrier also gained a five-star rating from Global NCAP. The cars also became the first vehicles to get a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP.

With this feat, all our new SUVs have now received the GNCAP 5-star rating certifications and have raised the bar for safer SUVs in India.”

The Tata Nexon facelift comes at a starting price of INR 8.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Nexon rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Fronx, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Brezza.
