The automaker Stellantis India has recently announced that Citroen and Jeep will be surging the prices of their models starting April 30, 2024. The auto giants will implement a price hike of up to 0.5 percent. Across their lineup, the price surge will range between INR 4,000 and INR 17,000, as per the variant. Stellantis stated that due to increased operational expenses and input costs, the brand has decided to implement a price hike.

Commenting on the recent development, Stellantis said, “The modest price adjustment reflects the current economic realities and enables the company to continue delivering innovative vehicles to its valued customers. Stellantis remains committed to delivering high-quality vehicles to its customers while ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of its operations.”

As of now, Citroen retails four car models in the Indian market: the C3, eC3, C3 Aircross, and C5 Aircross. The Citroen C3 comes in a price range of INR 6.16 lakh to INR 8.96 lakh, while the eC3 electric is priced between INR 11.61 lakh and INR 13.35 lakh. On the other hand, the C3 Aircross is available at a starting price of INR 9.99 lakh and goes up to INR 14.05 lakh. Lastly, the Citroen C5 Aircross is priced from INR 36.91 to INR 37.67 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The company is all set to expand its car lineup in the country with the Basalt, which will be unveiled in the latter half of 2024.

The upcoming Basalt is going to be the third vehicle to be produced under the C-Cubed program. The C3 and C3 Aircross are also underpinned by the same program. The new model is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out 108 bhp of maximum power and 205 Nm of peak torque.

Jeep will increase the prices of the Compass and Meridian models, while the more costly Wrangler and Grand Cherokee will come at the current price. Jeep India has confirmed that it will launch the facelift version of the Meridian in the coming months. The new Jeep Meridian will get a new pair of bumpers. The SUV is likely to come loaded with updated features such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
