Ather Energy will launch its first family electric scooter, the Rizta, on April 6, 2024. The two-wheeler giant has commenced accepting pre-bookings for the upcoming scooter. Interested buyers can reserve the Ather Rizta via the company’s official website. Bookings are open for a fully refundable token amount of INR 999.

The Rizta is a family e-scooter, and it will be sold alongside the Ather 450 series in the brand’s lineup. The company has been teasing Ather Rizta for quite some time now. Recently, the brand released a teaser of the electric scooter, revealing more details. The short video showcased the new electric offering undergoing a water-wading test. The scooter navigated through approximately 1.3 feet of water. The battery's resilience was also examined in a teaser where it was dropped from 40 feet, which is equivalent to a four-story building, and it came out without any damage.

The electric scooter will feature a large seat that will be the most spacious in the e-scooter segment. It will come equipped with a touchscreen that will work as the instrument cluster for the driver. The Ather Rizta is also expected to feature Google Maps and the latest version of the Atherstack. The scooter will have a relaxed riding posture and a bigger floorboard.

Alongside the launch of its family scooter, the company is planning to release its latest Atherstack 6 Over-the-Air (OTA) update. Ather Energy will also reveal a smart accessory named 'Halo,' which is expected to be a smart helmet. The company is planning to improve the overall user experience with its products, including these extra releases.

The Ather Rizta is expected to feature a 2.9-kWh battery set, which is also integrated into the Ather 450S. The electric scooter will feature the same 7-inch TFT console that we have seen in the Ather 450X. The Rizta is speculated to be launched at an ex-showroom price of INR 1.30 lakh. In its segment, the new scooter will rival the likes of the TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, Hero Vida V1 Pro, and Bajaj Chetak.
