Electric scooter maker Ola Electric announced a price cut for its S1 X lineup on Monday. Previously, the S1 X electric scooter was priced at INR 79,999 (ex-showroom). The new price of the scooter now starts at INR 69,999 (ex-showroom). The automaker has reduced the costs of all three entry-level variants of the Ola S1 X. Bookings for the e-scooter range are currently available on the brand’s website, and deliveries will begin on June 14.

The homegrown electric two-wheeler manufacturer claims that the new price revision will make S1 X electric scooters more accessible to buyers and will also increase EV adoption in India. Ola offers the S1 X electric scooter in three different trims. After the price cut, the Ola S1 X 2 kWh battery-powered variant is now available at a price of INR 69,999 (ex-showroom), while the 3 kWh battery set variant is now priced at INR 84,999 (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the high-end 4 kWh battery-powered trim of the e-scooter is priced at INR 99,999 (ex-showroom), instead of INR 109,999 (ex-showroom).

In terms of design language, the S1 X range looks like other electric scooters retailed by the brand. All three variants of the S1 X are available in seven color schemes, including Stellar, Midnight, Red Velocity, Vogue, and more. The S1 X range has three riding modes: Eco, Sports, and Normal. The 4 kWh model of the S1 X features a faster 700W charger, whereas the 2 kWh and 3 kWh models come with a portable 500W charger.

The S1 X electric scooter comes equipped with a tubular and sheet metal frame along with dual telescoping suspension and steel wheels. The e-scooter is loaded with smart features such as reverse mode, side stand alert, predictive maintenance, OTA update, and cruise control. The scooter can also be managed through the Ola Electric app.

The Ola S1 X is the most accessible electric offering from the company’s S1 range of products. Ola’s electric lineup consists of the S1 X, S1 Pro, S1X+, and S1 Air. Currently, Ola Electric is planning to unveil four new electric motorcycles in India at the end of this year. The EV maker has already showcased the prototypes of these bikes. Additionally, Ola is producing an electric car for its Indian customers.
