Kia India has officially started the bookings for the all-electric EV6 crossover at a token payment of Rs 3 Lakhs in the country. It can be booked exclusively through 15 select dealerships across 12 cities in India. Kia EV6 can also be booked online at the company's website. Built on Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the crossover will be sold in limited numbers (100 units) in the Indian market in 2022 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Kia EV6 will directly rival Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV in the domestic market while it will be launched in the first week of June 2022.

Imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), Kia EV6 is the first dedicated Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) launched under the new Kia design philosophy ‘Opposites United’. It will be available in India in exclusive GT Line trims while equipped with a multi-charging system which is the world's first charging system that operates with both 400V and 800V chargers without the need of an additional controller. The EV6 can be availed in five exterior colors namely Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, and Yacht Blue. It flaunts dual LED headlamps with Adaptive Driving Beam while riding on 19-inch crystal cut alloy wheels. Other design highlights include flush auto door handles and dynamic curved Connected LED Tail Lamps with Sequential Indicators.

The cabin is finished in an all-black upholstery with black suede seat and vegan leather bolsters. Some of the notable features include Meridian Premium Sound System with 14 Speakers, 12.3-inch Curved Driver Display, Wide Electric sunroof, Driver & Passenger Relaxation Seats, Remote folding seats, Augmented Reality (AR) head-up display, Smart Power Tailgate, Shift by Wire, Smart Cruise Control and a 12.3-inch Curved Touchscreen Infotainment System with Navigation. It also features the latest version of Kia Connect with more than 60 connected features such as EV Remote Climate Control, EV Remote charging control, Surround View Monitoring and Smart regenerative braking system with six braking levels.
