Kia India has unveiled the updated Carens Clavis in the country, which features several enhancements and cosmetic upgrades over the standard model. The Kia Carens Clavis bookings are currently available in India. Interested buyers can now book the Clavis by paying a token amount of INR 25,000. Customers can book the new Kia car online, or they can visit their nearest authorized Kia dealership.
The Kia Carens Clavis launch in India is expected to happen on May 23. It will be placed above the current Kia Carens model. The updated compact car will be offered in a total of seven variants: HTE, HTK, HTE (O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTK Plus (O), and HTX Plus. It is likely to be priced around INR 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kia Carens Clavis Upgrades
In terms of design language, the Kia Clavis comes equipped with updated design elements, such as a blacked-out grille, a silver faux skid plate, a tweaked bumper, sharp 3-pod LED headlamps with DRLs, and bigger 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Kia Carens Clavis Features
Inside the cabin, the Kia car gets a newly designed dashboard, a Syros-inspired steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery, and more. Kia is going to offer the Carens Clavis with new amenities like a panoramic sunroof, twin 12.3-inch displays, Level 2 ADAS, a 9-speaker Bose sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting, and more.
For safety, the Kia Carens Clavis receives safety features like six airbags as standard, all four wheels with disc brakes, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors at both ends, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and more.
Kia Carens Clavis Engine
Under the hood, the Carens Clavis comes equipped with three engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The naturally aspirated engine can churn out power of 115 bhp and peak torque of 144 Nm, while the turbo-petrol unit produces power of 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine generates 116 bhp of power and peak torque of 250 Nm.
All powertrain options come paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The turbo-petrol engine receives an additional six-speed iMT and seven-speed DCT gearboxes. Meanwhile, the diesel engine sports a six-speed AT unit.
