Volkswagen India, one of the biggest car manufacturers, has started the booking process for the Golf GTI model in the domestic market. The automaker is gearing up to launch the robust Golf GTI hatchback in India in the coming weeks. Ahead of its official launch, the Golf GTI has been teased several times on social media. Volkswagen previously revealed the technical specifications of the Golf GTI.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Pre-bookings
Pre-bookings for the new Volkswagen Golf GTI are currently open for a token amount of INR 2.65 lakh. The iconic Golf GTI hatchback will reach Indian shores as a CBU model. Interested buyers can now book this hatchback exclusively via the company’s website. Volkswagen is going to start the delivery process from next month onwards.

When it comes to design language, the Volkswagen Golf GTI features elements like signature red accents, X-shaped fog lamps, twin chrome exhausts, an illuminated VW logo, and exterior ambient lighting, together with goodbye and welcome effects. The new Volkswagen hatchback rolls on special diamond-cut 18-inch ‘Richmond’ alloy wheels.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI comes equipped with a range of advanced features, including a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 30-color ambient lighting, a wireless charger, paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more. What makes this iconic hatchback special is the addition of premium features such as ChatGPT integration, a three-zone climate control system, IDA voice control, Android Auto, and wireless Apple CarPlay.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Powertrain
The Volkswagen Golf GTI draws power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out power of 265 hp and peak torque of 370 Nm. The engine is paired with a seven-speed twin-clutch AT gearbox. The Golf GTI has a front-axle differential lock that can be managed electronically. With a high speed of 250 kmph, the hatchback can go from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds.
