Hyundai has introduced the new AMT variant to boost the popularity of automatic car options in India.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has rolled out a new entry-level variant of the Hyundai Aura compact car in the Indian market. The new variant is named Aura S, and it is available at an ex-showroom price of INR 8.08 lakh, which makes it INR 70,000 more expensive than the standard Hyundai Aura S MT trim available in the domestic market.

The auto giant is offering the latest Hyundai Aura S with an automated manual transmission (AMT) unit. With the launch of a new AMT variant, Hyundai is aiming to make AMT variants more mainstream in the Indian market.

Hyundai Aura S AMT Features

On the feature front, the Hyundai Aura S AMT variant is loaded with amenities like 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, ABS, LED DRLs, a 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, footwell lighting, remote locking, follow-me-home headlights, front and rear power windows, 15-inch steel wheels with covers, and electric adjust wing mirrors.

The Hyundai Aura S AMT is available with a kit that includes features such as power-folding wing mirrors, electronic stability control, integrated turn indicators, and hill-start assist.

Hyundai Aura S AMT Specifications

Under the hood, the Hyundai Aura S AMT subcompact sedan draws power from a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that is tuned to generate a power of 82 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 113.8 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed AMT or manual unit. The Hyundai Aura sedan is also available in a CNG-powered version that churns out a power of 68 bhp and a peak torque of 95.2 Nm.
