Triumph Speed Twin 2021 comes with several feature upgrades and a tweaked engine

Triumph Motorcycle will be launching its much-anticipated Speed Twin on August 31 in the country. The bike maker unveiled the motorcycle in June this year. The updated model comes with higher performance and enhanced technology. As for the price of the 2021 Triumph Speed Twin, we can expect it to fall under Rs 10 lakhs (ex-showroom). Furthermore, the brand has also started accepting bookings of the motorcycle at a token amount of Rs 50,000 across all authorized dealership networks in India.


Triumph Speed Twin: Design, Features, and Color Options

The overall silhouette of the 2021 Speed Twin remains the same. However, it does get distinctive changes. In terms of design, the bike gets a new anodized headlight mount with LED DRLs. In addition, the bike features an engine immobilizer, a semi-digital instrument cluster, mudguard mounts, new twin upswept sporty silencers with brushed stainless-steel headers, and an under-seat USB power socket. The 2021 Speed Twin will ride on new 12-spoke cast wheels wrapped in Metzeler Racetec RR tyres. Features like a rounded fuel tank with a Monza cap, a bench seat, and bar-end mirrors have been carried over from its predecessor. Moving on, the upcoming bike also gets three riding modes (Rain, Road, & Sport), ABS, and traction control system. Besides these, Triumph will also be offering a wide range of optional accessories with the motorcycle. Talking about the color options, the 2021 Speed Twin is available in Red Hopper, Matte Storm Grey, and Jet Black. 


Triumph Speed Twin: Engine Specifications

Mechanically, the 2021 Speed Twin will come equipped with a BS6 compliant 1200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The motor further is capable of returning 98.6 bhp power at 7250rpm and 112 Nm peak torque at 4250rpm. Transmission duty is handled by a 6-speed gearbox. 

Triumph Speed Twin: Underpinnings

Suspension duties will now be taken care of by 43mm Marzocchi forks with cartridge damping & 120mm travel upfront. Towards the rear end, the bike will come with twin shock with adjustable preload & 120mm travel. In terms of the brake, the 2021 Speed Twin gets Brembo four-piston M50 radial monobloc calipers gripping twin 320 mm discs on the front wheel and a Nissin two-piston caliper with a 220 mm disc on the rear wheel.
