Tata Motors has unveiled the Curvv SUV in bright orange paint at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. The automaker is all set to enter the compact sports utility vehicle segment with the launch of the Curvv SUV. The Tata Curvv ICE version is likely to be launched sometime this year. Before its official launch on the market, the manufacturer revealed the production-ready model of the SUV. The new Curvv SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.

The Tata Curvv SUV comes with a sharp-looking front fascia combined with a coupe-like roofline that makes it stand out from other SUVs in this segment. The automaker showcased this car at the Auto Expo last year, and the image of the new SUV confirms that the SUV has not changed much except for a few tweaks.

The LED light bar integrated in the Curvv is now extended even farther and resembles the one found on the Nexon facelift. The grille now has a mixture of piano black and body color schemes. The front bumper of the car has a new fog lamp and headlamp housing, which is very similar to Safari and Harrier facelifts. The Curvv gets additional air ventilation, the air intake on the bumper is larger, and it gets a prominent faux skid plate.

The Tata Curvv will have multiple powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, and electric. Tata Motors stated at the Auto Expo 2023 that the Curvv EV could hit the market before the ICE versions. The upcoming Curvv EV will compete with the new Hyundai Creta EV.

Tata Motors is likely to offer the Curvv ICE with the same powertrain options as the Nexon. The Curvv is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.2-litre petrol-CNG engine options. The ICE model is likely to be offered with many transmission options, such as a six-speed manual, a dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and an automated manual transmission (AMT).

On the side, the coupe-like SUV comes with flush-fitted door handles, which are seen for the first time in a Tata car. Instead of A-pillars, the ORVMs are mounted on the car doors, whereas the wheel arches and the door’s lower part get black cladding. The Tata Curvv stands on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Curvv measures 1,810mm in width, 4,308mm in length, and 1,630mm in height. Tata Curvv comes equipped with a sloping back window at the rear, a roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, and connected LED tail lamps. The bumper gets vertical reflectors and a reverse lamp, while the tailgate of the SUV features Curvv lettering.
