They are unlike the regular commuter motorcycles or high-performance sports bikes as they have peculiarity and charm of their own. The Indian market is filled with cruiser bikes in abundance, which also includes a few power cruisers from the likes of Harley Davidson and Indian Motorcycles. However, here in this piece, we will stick to the most popular cruiser motorcycles that an individual can afford to buy while not being robbed of the value-for-money quotient. We have compiled a list of the five most talked about cruiser bikes in India to make it easier for you.


1. Bajaj Avenger Street 160:




It is the country's most affordable cruiser motorcycle on sale at a price point of Rs 1.08 Lakh (Ex. Showroom). Bajaj Avenger Street 160 is available in two colour choices namely Ebony Black and Spicy Red. Having a wheelbase of 1490mm, the cruiser rides on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels. The suspension duties are helmed by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear while single channel ABS comes as standard safety feature. The Avenger Street 160 draws power from a 160cc fuel-injected petrol engine in a tune of 15bhp at 8000rpm. The torque performance stands at 13.7Nm at 7000rpm while linked to a 5-speed gearbox.


2. Royal Enfield Meteor 350: 




Royal Enfield, the undisputed king of cruiser motorcycles in India, added yet another gem to its existing range of bikes in the form of the all-new Meteor 350. Being introduced in three trims namely Fireball, Stellar, and Supernova, it comes in a price range of Rs 1.84-2.01 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Royal Enfield Meteor 350 debuted the company's Tripper Navigation system which we later saw in various other RE products including the Himalayan. Other features include USB charging port and twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster. The bike is powered by the all-new J-series 349cc single-cylinder fuel-injected petrol engine which is good enough for 20.2bhp and 27Nm.


3. Suzuki Intruder:




Being Suzuki's only cruiser motorcycle in India currently, the Intruder was unveiled with BS6 compliant engine at the grandest stage of 2020 Auto Expo while it went on sale next month in March at a sticker price of Rs 1.24 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). The bike gets a couple of dual-tone color shades namely Metallic Matte Black/Candy Sanoma Red and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matte Titanium Silver while a mono-tone shade is also for grabs in the form of Metallic Matte Titanium Silver. It comes packed with several bells and whistles like digital instrument cluster and single-channel ABS as standard. Powered by a 155cc single cylinder petrol engine, it has a power output of 14.1bhp and torque performance of 14Nm.


4. Jawa 42:



Jawa, the Czech Republic based bikemaker, started its second innings in the Indian market around three years back in 2018 with three bikes namely Jawa Forty Two, Jawa and Jawa Perak. Here we will talk about the 42 which was launched in an updated avatar in February 2021 at an introductory price of Rs 1.84 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) with new colour options and a windscreen. In fact, it became the first Jawa motorcycle to ride on alloy wheels. Available in three colors schemes namely Orion Red, Sirius White and AllStar Black, it has a 293cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected petrol engine at the helm of affairs. The motor produces maximum power output of 27bhp and peak torque performance of 27.02Nm. The engine transmits the power to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox.


5. Honda H'Ness CB350:




Marking Honda's entry in the highly-anticipated cruiser segment, the H'Ness CB350 went on sale in October last year. Being exclusively sold via the Japanese brand's BigWing dealerships, it is offered in two variants namely DLX and DLX PRO at Rs 1.90 Lakhs and Rs 1.96 Lakhs (Both the prices are Ex. Showroom, Delhi), respectively. While the former is available in three single-tone color choices such as Precious Red Metallic, Pearl Night Star Black and Matte Marshal Green Metallic, the latter can be availed in three dual-tone colors in the form of Athletic Blue Metallic with Virtuous White, Pearl Night Star Black with Spear Silver Metallic & Matte Steel Black Metallic with Matte Massive Grey Metallic. The DLX PRO variant comes with a couple of additional features like Chrome plated dual horn & Honda Smartphone Voice Control system. The bike has a 350cc single-cylinder engine at the helm which belts out 21bhp and 30Nm.
