Harley Davidson has launched the Sportster(R) S at a starting price of Rs 15.51 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. The all-new sport custom motorcycle was introduced at the India Bike Week that was held in the beautiful Aamby Valley. Moving on, the motorcycle is the second product from the American company to be based on the new Revolution Max 1250 Platform after Pan America 1250. Besides that, it is also the second model to be launched in the country after Harley’s partnership with Hero MotoCorp for India operations.

In terms of features, the Sportster S comes equipped with a 4.0-inch TFT screen that displays instrumentation and infotainment functions. The riders can easily pair it to the smartphones via Bluetooth and access information like navigation and many more. Besides this, the bike also features cornering enhanced anti-lock braking system, all-LED lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control among many others. The Harley Davidson Sportster S offers a total of three ride modes namely Road, Sport, Rain, and two Custom modes. Talking about the color options, the bike is offered in Vivid Black, Midnight Crimson, and Stone Washed White Pearl.

Performance-wise, the bike is powered by a Revolution® Max 1250T V-Twin engine that churns out a top power of 120 bhp and a peak torque of 127 Nm. This particular engine first made its debut on the Pan America 1250. The motor is further linked to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Suspension duties are taken care of by a fully-adjustable USD fork upfront and a mono-shock setup at the rear end. In terms of the brakes, the bike gets a 320mm disc & a four-piston radial mono-block Brembo caliper at the front and a 260mm disc & a two-piston Brembo caliper towards the rear.
