BMW Motorrad launched the BS6 versions of G 310 R and G 310 GS today. The German motorcycle manufacturer has teased the duo on multiple occasions in the past. Both the bikes get subtle cosmetic tweaks and a few mechanical updates along with new color options. The bookings for the G 310 twins had already commenced at BMW dealerships. BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS Price

The BS6 BMW G 310 R has been introduced at Rs 2.45 Lakhs (ex-showroom) while BMW G 310 GS is launched at Rs 2.85 Lakhs (ex-showroom). In comparison to their BS4 counterparts, both the BMW motorcycles are significantly cheaper. 

BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS Design

Both BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS get the same silhouette as their BS4 counterparts. The major design change has been done on the front fascia. The duo flaunts full-LED headlight flanked by horizontal DRLs. The bikes also get LED flashing turn-indicators, LED brake lights, and LED tail-light. They retain the golden front forks from their predecessors. Furthermore, the duo gets redesigned side panels and new body graphics. Both the bikes get three new paint schemes namely Style Sport Limestone Metallic, Style Rallye Kyanite Blue Metallic, and 40 years GS Cosmic Black.

BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS Features

BMW Motorrad has equipped the new G 310 Twins with a plethora of features. The duo gets a slipper clutch with reinforcement that provides precise actuation and smooth downgrades. Furthermore, both the bikes also feature ride-by-wire systems that provide full control over the throttle. However, the bikes miss out on a full TFT screen. Instead, the duo gets a multi-functional instrument display cluster with a large display that offers information and feedback to the riders. With this new update, BMW G 310 twins also feature a dynamic traction control system and automatic stability control.

BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS Engine Specification & Underpinnings

The BS6 BMW G 310 twins draw power from the same 312.2cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, water-cooled engine, albeit with BS6 updates. The motor churns out a maximum power of 34 bhp at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm torque at 7500 rpm. Furthermore, the engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW claims that the duo can achieve a top speed of 143 kmph. Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm USD forks upfront along with cast aluminum dual swing arm, central spring strut, spring pre-load adjustable at the rear. As for brakes, the duo gets a 330 mm disc upfront and a 240 mm disc towards the rear along with switchable dual-channel ABS. The high-performance ABS system present in the bikes ensures precise braking at all times.
