Ather Energy has introduced a new exchange program for scooter owners who are looking to upgrade the 450 Apex and 450X. This program is only available in Bengaluru for a limited number of clients who enrolled in the Ather Upgrade program in January 2023. Currently, the exchange program is in its pilot stage.

The brand’s upgrade program is valid until the end of this month. Owners of the Ather 450 Gen 1.5 and Gen 1 who want to upgrade to the 450X have until March 31, 2024, to finish the purchase, invoicing, and registration process. On the other hand, owners of the 450 Apex have until April 30. All the procedures, including returning the old scooter, ought to be finished in one day.

The company has asked the select owners to bring their electric scooters to the Ather Space Experience Center in Bengaluru's Indiranagar neighborhood. The company has allocated skilled staff to evaluate the scooter's condition and look for any pending fines or traffic infractions.

If the Ather scooter is older than 36 months, then the customers are likely to pay INR 1.10 lakh for the Apex 450, INR 90,000 for the 450X 3.7kWh with the Pro Pack, and INR 80,000 for the 450X 2.9kWh. However, scooters under 36 months old do not have specified return rates.

Ather is all set to reveal its highly anticipated Rizta e-scooter on April 6, 2024, during the brand’s Community Day 2024. With the launch of the Rizta, the brand will enter the family scooter segment. Recently, the automaker also released spy shots of the scooter undergoing a water-wading test.

The water wading test showcases the electric scooter’s ability to ride through flooded areas without the water seeping through to vital components. The upcoming Rizta features a telescopic fork up front and a wide front tyre. The e-scooter is likely to feature a host of segment-first features.
