Brixton Motorcycles, an Austria-based motorcycle maker, has announced plans to launch four new bikes in the Indian market. The company has teamed up with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd. (KVMPL) to set up a manufacturing and sales network in India. The auto giant is all set to make a grand entry into the country with a range of bikes designed especially for Indian consumers. The KSR Group owns motorcycle brands like Brixton Motorcycles, Motron, and Malaguti. It sells a range of bikes in Europe and other Asian countries.

The company stated that it has been planning to enter the domestic market for two years in collaboration with KAW Veloce Motors. The Austrian brand is aiming to offer its European elegance to Indian riders. The upcoming motorcycles are currently under development at the company’s design centre and manufactured at Brixton’s new state-of-the-art facility located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. However, the auto marque has not made it clear if the motorcycles will be completely manufactured in India or will be shipped as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits to be assembled locally.

Commenting about Brixton’s entry into the domestic market, the Managing Director at KVMPL, Tushar Shelke, said, "We are thrilled to bring this esteemed brand to the Indian motorcycling community. With the launch confirmed, stay tuned for more exciting news soon! As Brixton Motorcycles gears up for a dynamic future in India, it promises not only to meet but exceed expectations, setting new benchmarks in the motorcycle industry with a commitment to excellence and innovation."

In collaboration with KAW Veloce, the Austrian bike maker is also planning to establish a research and development (R&D) centre in the country. This initiative will help make India a strategic export hub for African and Southeast Asian markets. By the end of this year, the company intends to set up 15 dealerships across major Indian cities and will further expand to around 50 outlets in 2025.

Brixton models launched in Europe sport a retro theme, which makes them the biggest rival of Royal Enfield. As of now, the company sells about 14 bike models in global markets. Brixton motorcycles range from the 125-cc segment to the 1,200-cc segment.
