Honda Cars India has launched the 2020 WRV facelift at an introductory price of Rs 8.50 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The new crossover has been offered in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in two grades: SV and VX. The 2020 Honda WRV facelift comes with several cosmetic updates while being powered by the BS6 compliant 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. It had a direct rival in the form of Hyundai i20 Active but since it was discontinued in April 2020 after the implementation of BS6 emission norms, now it will challenge Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and likes.
Speaking of the 2020 Honda WRV facelift, it comes with an updated bumper and new grille with horizontal slats upfront. The newly designed LED projector headlamps and LED tail-lamp cluster further accentuate the appearance of the crossover. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels, though designed differently for both petrol and diesel versions in the form of 4-hole Berlina Black layout and 5-hole Shark Grey pattern, respectively. The roof rails and LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) have been retained from the outgoing model. The 2020 Honda WRV facelift color options include Premium Amber Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Radiant Red Metallic.
The cabin features a refreshed upholstery with several premium bells and whistles in the form of rear defogger, rear parking camera, Height adjustable driver's seat, automatic climate control, 7.0-inch Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. The VX grade is going to get a few extra features such as front centre armrest, cruise control, keyless entry and go, leather-wrapped steering and powered sunroof. Mechanically, the crossover comes with the same 1.2L petrol engine (90bhp and 110Nm) and 1.5L diesel engine (100bhp and 200Nm). The petrol variants are offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox while the diesel variants get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. There is no automatic unit available at the moment.
