Volkswagen Polo completes its 12 years in the Indian market. In order to celebrate the occasion, the automaker has launched a new Limited Edition of the hatchback christened Polo Legend. Having said that, it is priced at Rs 10.25 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is limited to just 700 units in India. Furthermore, the vehicle will be available at all 151 Volkswagen dealerships pan India. The new Volkswagen Polo Legend Edition also marks the car’s 12-year journey in the country.

Cosmetically, the Polo Legend Edition looks similar to the regular GT TSI variant. However, it does get subtle changes in terms of the ‘Legend’ edition badges on the fender and the boot. In addition, the car features black trunk garnish, black roof foil, and side body graphics.

The new Legend edition is based on the top-end GT TSI trim of the Polo. Having said that, it houses the same 1.0-litre TSI engine that does duty on the Polo GT TSI. The motor churns out a top power of 109 bhp at 5000rpm and a peak torque of 175 Nm at 1750rpm. Transmission duty is taken care of by a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.
