The upcoming Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter was recently tested on the streets, and spy shots of the Bajaj Chetak E-Scooter have surfaced on the internet. In comparison to the ongoing model, this electric scooter is said to be much more affordable.

The Bajaj Chetak has been ruling the fuel-powered scooter sector over the years. The two-wheeler maker Bajaj Chetak is all set to create a buzz in the Electric Vehicle (EV) segment by launching the upcoming Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter. During the testing stage, the upcoming e-scooter has been spotted several times. Although no official details have been shared by the company, it is speculated that the company will give a few hints regarding the new features of the E-Scooter in the upcoming days or weeks.

The leaked images that surfaced on the internet suggest that this new E-Scooter will have the same appearance as the ongoing model. It is expected that the upcoming Bajaj Chetak will get cosmetic changes and updated features.

The upcoming Bajaj Chetak E-Scooter is expected to come with a proper LED headlight setup, stylish front rear view mirrors on both sides, an integrated turn indicator, improved seating arrangements, and updated built quality compared to the ongoing model. The scooter will be powered by a 2.9 kWh battery setup combined with a new hub-mounted motor.

The electric scooters like the TVS iQube have a hub motor, and the same motor can be seen in the Bajaj Chetak. The hub motor is imperative because it will help Bajaj reduce costs. The Bajaj Chetak currently has a monoshock, but because of the mechanism of the hub motor, Bajaj can provide this new scooter with twin shocks at the rear. To save on costs, this updated scooter might get a smaller battery pack.

The current model of the scooter costs INR 1,22,723 (ex-showroom), but Bajaj could also lower its price to around INR 1 lakh mark.

The updated Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter will give tough competition to its rivals like the TVS iQube, the Ola S1 Air, and the Ather 450S.
