Triumph Motorcycles India extend its Roadster line-up by launching Triple Street 1200 RS in the country today.

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the new Triple Street 1200 RS today at a price point of Rs 16.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. Bookings can be done at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Interested buyers can directly go to any dealership across the country to get their booking done. As for deliveries, it will begin from March-end onwards. The new motorcycle will be available in limited units in India with the first batch consisting of only 30 motorcycles.


In terms of design, the new 1200 RS gets a carbon-fibre front mudguard, colour-coded belly pan & seat cowl with an interchangeable pillion seat, and a new compact tail unit. Design bits like a new distinctive full LED lighting, full keyless system and the My Triumph Connectivity System comes as standard fitments. The bike gets an aggressive look due to its new 17-inch lightweight cast aluminum, black painted V-spoke wheels.

The new 1200 RS comes equipped with a plethora of features. These include an all-new 5-inch TFT instrument panel, new Triumph Shift Assist up-and-down quick shifter, Optimized Cornering ABS, switchable Optimized Cornering Traction Control (with IMU) and enhanced front wheel lift control. 


Mechanically, the Triumph Triple Street 1200 RS is powered by an all-new 1160cc triple engine that delivers 178 bhp power and 125 Nm peak torque. In comparison to the outgoing model, the power output and peak torque have gone up by 28 bhp and 8 Nm, respectively. The motorcycle rides on high-performance Metzeler Racetec RR tyres which are basically Metzeler’s highest specification rubber approved for road use. Furthermore, these tyres can deliver an optimum performance both on road and on the track.

In terms of brakes, the bike gets a new high-performance Twin Brembo Stylema radial monobloc front calipers and a single Brembo twin-piston rear caliper coupled up with a Brembo MCS span and ratio adjustable brake lever. The bike provides 5 riding modes. 




The new Speed Triple RS comes in two new paint and graphic schemes with bold new RS graphics - Sapphire Black, with red & silver graphics, or Matt Silver Ice, with black, silver & yellow graphics. The bike also comes with a high 16,000km service interval and a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty.
