The Sixth-generation Audi A6 exterior could feature a full-width LED light bar and a reworked bumper design that would give it a more modern look. The Sixth-generation Audi A6 launched date is eagerly anticipated by enthusiasts.

ICE Audi A6 Specifications

The next-generation ICE-powered A6 model will not follow the A6 e-tron model, which is based on Volkswagen's PPE platform. ICE- Audi A6 Specifications suggest that engine choices are likely to be as follows:

  • 2.0 L turbo-petrol (TFSI) with a 48V mild-hybrid system
  • 2.0 L turbo-diesel (TDI) in certain markets worldwide
  • Both options will likely get a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission
  • The sporty S6 alternative with a 3.0 L turbo-petrol V6 will probably be available in some markets.

The Sixth-generation Audi A6 engine lineup is expected to offer a balance of performance and efficiency.

India Launch and Competition

The outgoing Audi A6 will be launched in India in 2019. Its archrivals, the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class have been updated with generations since then. Though an Indian market launch date is yet to be confirmed, the petrol-powered variants are likely to be introduced by Audi. The diesel version is unlikely to make it to Indian shores.

Now, as the next-gen A6 is about to debut globally, everyone will be waiting to see how Audi places its flagship executive sedan in competition with stiff rivalry in the luxury segment. The Sixth-generation Audi A6 design will play a crucial role in setting it apart, while the Sixth-generation Audi A6 interior is expected to offer a more premium and tech-laden experience.
