Renault Kiger made its global debut last month. The launch is likely to take place in March this year. The sub-compact SUV has started reaching the dealerships. Recently, it was spotted in three new colours - Mahogany Brown, Caspian Blue, and Moonlight Silver. Images of the same have surfaced online. Besides these, there will be two more colour options - Ice Cool White and Planet Grey. The top-spec variant will feature an exclusive dual-tone paint scheme of Radiant Red with a black roof. 



In terms of design, the upcoming Renault Kiger looks quite similar to its hatchback sibling the Kwid. Upfront, it features a split headlight setup with Tri-beam LED projector headlamps, horizontally positioned LED DRLs, an aggressive bumper, and a Renault logo on the grille. The subcompact SUV rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear end of the upcoming Kiger boasts of C-shaped LED taillights along with a faux skid plate.

Feature-wise, Renault has equipped the SUV with all the bells and whistles. These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, a 7.0-inch fully digital TFT instrument cluster, keyless entry, steering mounted controls, among many others. Furthermore, the upcoming subcompact SUV provides quite a spacious cabin.


Performance-wise, the four-wheeler is offered with two engine options. A 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit that develops a maximum power of 71 bhp and a peak torque of 96 Nm. While the 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill churns out 99 bhp power and 160 Nm peak torque. Both the engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Furthermore, the naturally-aspirated unit will also get a 5-speed AMT as an option and the turbocharged petrol will feature a CVT gearbox as an option.
