While the civilian variant of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic is equipped with a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine producing 132 PS of maximum power and 300 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the specifications of the model that will be supplied to the Indian Army remain undisclosed. However, it is speculated that the military version could possibly be equipped with the more powerful 140 PS/320 Nm state of tune, along with a 4x4 drivetrain, to meet the specific requirements of the armed forces.
