Hyundai Motor India, one of the leading carmakers in the country, announced on Monday that it has registered its highest-ever total sales of 7,77,876 units in fiscal year 2024, with a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 8 percent. Reportedly, the brand also recorded its highest-ever domestic sales of 6,14,721 units in fiscal year 2024, marking an 8.3 percent year-on-year (YoY) surge over fiscal year 2023.

In March 2024, the South Korean auto giant claims to have retailed 65,601 units of passenger vehicles, of which 53,000 were sold domestically and 12,600 were exported. This marked a YoY increase of 7 percent over the corresponding month in the previous year. According to the automaker, 1.63 lakh cars were exported to other nations in the last fiscal year, representing a 6.7 percent YoY increase over the prior fiscal year.

The company has attributed this impressive sales performance to the high demand for its famous models like Alcazar, Creta, Ioniq 5, Aura, Exter, and Verna, which are said to have achieved their highest-ever yearly sales statistics in the most recent fiscal year. Hyundai introduced a number of vehicles in the Indian market during the previous fiscal year, which further propelled growth for the brand.

The COO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, Tarun Garg, stated, “FY 23-24 sales number of 7.77 lacs is a testimony to the great acceptance of our diverse product line-up with 8% year-on-year growth over LY in total sales. In the domestic market, HMIL sales surged by 8.3% in 2023-24 against the previous year. These are the highest sales reported by HMIL since inception. In 2023-24, we launched many new models as well as product upgrades including Exter, new Creta, Creta N Line, new i-20 and introduction of ADAS in Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line. HMIL’s pursuit".
