The Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, Dr. Pawan Munjal, handed over the Mavrick 440 bike to a few lucky consumers at the Hero Premia showroom in Gurugram.

Hero MotoCorp has started deliveries of its famous naked street bike, the Mavrick 440, across India. The two-wheeler giant launched the Mavrick 440 in February 2024. The automaker made the announcement at a specially curated event held in Gurugram. The Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, Dr. Pawan Munjal, handed over the motorcycle to a few lucky consumers at the Hero Premia showroom in Gurugram. Customers who booked the Mavrick 440 before March 15, 2024, will get a complimentary Mavrick kit of merchandise and accessories worth INR 10,000.

Hero MotoCorp offers the Mavrick 440 in three trims: Base, Mid, and Top. The Base trim of the new bike is available at a price of INR 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Mid variant is priced at INR 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The Top trim, on the other hand, is priced at INR 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mavrick 440 is based on the Harley-Davidson X440 model. In terms of design language, the Mavrick 440 features a roadster design along with a muscular fuel tank. The motorcycle comes equipped with a digital speedometer with LED illumination. The digital instrument cluster equipped in the bike offers Bluetooth connectivity, call and message alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and a USB-C charging port.

The new Hero Mavrick 440 bike is powered by a 440-cc single-cylinder engine. The unit churns out 27 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 36 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The powertrain is mated to a six-speed gearbox through an assist and slipper clutch. The automaker has tweaked the engine to prioritize low-end torque, providing a smooth riding experience for both city and highway travel.

The new bike weighs 187 kg and has a seat height of 803 mm, making it suitable for a range of customers. With 130 mm of travel, the bike's steel trellis frame supports 43 mm telescopic forks up front and 7-step adjustable dual shocks down back for a pleasant ride. Braking duties are done by a 320 mm disc up front and a 240 mm disc at the back, both equipped with twin-channel ABS.

In its segment, the Hero Mavrick 440 gives tough competition to the likes of the Harley-Davidson X440, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Triumph Speed 400, and Royal Enfield Classic 350.
