BYD India has partnered up with Shoffr, an electric taxi service provider based in Bengaluru. As part of this collaboration, BYD will gradually provide 50 e6 electric MPVs to Shoffr. BYD delivered 20 BYD e6 that were flagged off in Bengaluru as part of the first phase. Representatives from Shoffr and BYD India attended the event. Delivery of the final 30 cars is expected to take place during the course of the next month.

With its 71.7 kWh blade battery, the BYD e6 can travel 520 km in a city on a single charge according to the Worldwide Light Vehicles Test Cycle, and 415 km overall. Additionally, the DC fast charging feature of the electric MPV allows for a 30-to 80 percent charge in 35 minutes.
