Yamaha India will launch the all-new FZ-X motorcycle on June 18, 2021 in the country. The all-new offering from the Japanese brand will share its chassis and engine with the existing FZ range. Yamaha FZ-X price in India will be somewhere around Rs 1.15 Lakh (Ex. Showroom). Presently, Yamaha FZ and Yamaha FZS are priced at Rs 1.04 Lakh and Rs 1.09 Lakh (Both the prices are Ex. Showroom), respectively, in the Indian market. Sporting a neo-retro Scrambler look, the FZ-X will rival the likes of Hero XPulse and Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Yamaha FZ-X will be presented in a classic design with a neo-retro approach. It will flaunt a round old-school headlamp upfront which would replace the FZ's modern streetfighter face. The bike has been styled like a Scrambler with a slight touch of cruiser too. The fuel tank as evident by the image swoops down to the rider's seat. The FZ-X will boast of tall handlebars and forward-set foot pegs which will subsequently result in an upright riding position. It is learnt that it will offer more riding comfort than the bikes it is based on. The wheelbase will be similar as well at 1,330 mm. The motorcycle will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels as standard while a telescopic fork with single-downtube frame will be at the helm of front suspension and 7-speed adjustable monoshock at the rear.

Mechanically, Yamaha FZ-X will be powered by the same 149cc single-cylinder engine as the FZ and FZS. The power output and torque performance are also expected to be the same at 12.4 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm, respectively. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Last month, the all-new motorcycle was spotted undisguised during its TVC shoot and it is believed that it will be available in three color schemes namely Blue, Orange and Black. The braking duties will be carried by a 282mm disc brake at front and 220 mm disc unit at the rear. It will also get a single channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard safety feature. Stay tuned for more details.
