MG India is expected to launch the new MG Majestor in May 2025. This three-row SUV is going to be similar to the existing MG Gloster.
It will be the new flagship SUV from the brand and is positioned as a more premium version of the Gloster. The car has a more aggressive and modern design, and the interior is significantly revamped.
The expected price range for the MG Majestor is between Rs. 40 and 46 lacs (ex-showroom). This full-sized family SUV is going to compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Fortuner Legender, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and Isuzu MU-X.
2025 MG Majestor exterior & design
The new MG SUV has a bolder design and gives the feel of a strong road presence with its tall, boxy stance and muscular lines. Here are the key exterior design upgrades:
Front fascia: A larger and more upright octagonal grille with a gloss black finish and horizontal slats and a prominent MG logo.
LED lights: A split LED headlamp design with sleek LED DRLs positioned on top and the main vertically stacked LED projector headlights lower down on the bumper. The rear LED spans the width of the tailgate.
Bumper: It looks chunkier with a silver skid plate and vertical air intake-like elements.
Side profile: The side has the overall silhouette of the Gloster but features newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels and black body cladding in the lower part.
Rear design: The rear bumper has a silver skid plate and dual exhaust outlets. The tailgate features bold "MAJESTOR" lettering.

2025 MG Majestor features
The Majestor's interior is likely to be a significant upgrade from the Gloster's. It's new, larger dashboard will have a new free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
It will likely be offered in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. The new SUV will likely have these features:
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Panoramic sunroof
- Ventilated and potentially heated and massaging front seats

2025 MG Majestor powertrain
Majestor is expected to carry forward the same powertrain options as the MG Gloster. It will likely be offered in two engine options:
- 2.0 L Turbo-Diesel: Expected to deliver 159 bhp of power and 373.5 Nm of torque with RWD configuration.
- 2.0 L Twin-Turbo Diesel: Expected to deliver 213 bhp of power and 479 Nm of torque with 4WD configuration.
Both engines are expected to be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Majestor will likely continue to be based on a ladder-frame chassis similar to the Gloster.
The expected mileage could be around the ARAI-claimed mileage of 12-14 kmpl of the Gloster.
