Kawasaki India has introduced the new Kawasaki Z900 motorcycle in India. The Z900 bike is available at a price of INR 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes this model INR 9,000 more expensive than the previous one. The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 retains all the mechanicals, features, and hardware. The motorcycle comes with the same steel trellis frame and inline four-cylinder engine. The Kawasaki Z900 features include power modes (low and full), traction control, full-LED lighting, and a Bluetooth-enabled color TFT display.

The new Z900 is available in three riding modes: Rain, Road, and Sport.  The Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system equipped in the bike offers three rider selectable modes. In the Indian market, the updated motorcycle rivals the likes of the BMW F900R, Ducati Monster, and Triumph Street Triple.

The two-wheeler giant is offering the updated bike in two color schemes: Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey and Metallic Spark Black. It comes equipped with a TFT screen that offers Bluetooth connectivity via the company’s “Rideology” app. The Z900 is a successor to the Kawasaki Z800 bike, which was in production in India between 2013 and 2016.

Powering the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 is a 948-cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 125 bhp of power at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 98.6 Nm at 7,700 rpm. The unit is coupled with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is fixed to the high-tensile steel trellis frame. The new motorcycle has a kerb weight of 212 kg and a seat height of 820 mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres and a ground clearance of 145 mm. For suspension duties, it gets a 41 mm inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels that are wrapped in Dunlop tyres.
