Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of the Dzire sedan at a starting price of Rs 8.14 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Being termed as Maruti Dzire S-CNG, it is offered in Vxi and Zxi trims. Maruti Dzire CNG will also be available through the brand's 'Subscribe' subscription package at an all-inclusive monthly fee of Rs 16,999/- in the Indian market. With the launch of this new vehicle, Maruti Suzuki now has 9 vehicles with factory-fitted S-CNG technology in its portfolio in India.
Maruti Dzire CNG is powered by a 1.2L dual VVT K-Series dual jet petrol engine which develops top power of 76.4 bhp at 6000 rpm while returning a mileage of 31.12 kms/kg. The aforementioned power out and mileage figures make it the most powerful and fuel efficient CNG sedan in the Indian market as it directly rivals Hyundai Aura CNG and Tata Tigor CNG. The company has specially tuned the powertrain and suspension of the S-CNG sedan for better engine durability. It gets dual interdependent Electronic Control Units (ECU) and an intelligent injection system to provide a superior air-fuel ratio. The brand has equipped the Dzire CNG with stainless steel pipes and joints to avoid corrosion and any kind of leakage in the entire CNG structure.
