3,000 Units Booked! Ola Electric's S1 Air Launched in India

Ola S1 air booking started this morning, one day earlier than expected. Ola Electric is an Indian maker of electric two-wheelers. In the first few hours, more than 3,000 units have already been reserved, exceeding expectations.

The S1 Air, Ola Electric's newest electric scooter, is now available for purchase. Ola Electric is an Indian producer of electric two-wheelers. Surprisingly, the corporation opened the purchasing window on July 27 rather than July 28, as originally planned. Over 3,000 Ola S1 air selling units have already been reserved during this initial phase, exceeding Ola's estimates for the client response in the first few hours. 

For those who have made reservations in advance, the Ola S1 Air is being offered for a price of 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric scooter will cost an extra 10,000 for those who are interested in it.Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, announced a huge development on social media. He revealed that within an hour of the purchase window opening, the first 1,000 S1 Air electric scooters had been reserved. Three hours later, Aggarwal provided another update, noting that the business had booked 3,000 units, an excellent milestone. Customers have responded in a spectacular way.

Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, said at a live webcast on July 27, 2023 that an advance window for community members to acquire the S1 Air electric scooter has been established. Due to this development, interested buyers were able to complete their transactions a day ahead of schedule.

The Ola S1 Air electric scooter and the S1 Pro versions are built on the same platform. It does, however, have a number of cost-saving features, such as a smaller 3 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 125 miles on a single charge. According to Ola Electric, the S1 Air has a top speed of 90 kmph and a 4.5 kW hub motor (6 horsepower) that enables outstanding acceleration from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.

Additionally, the TVS iQube and Ather 450S electric scooters will be competitors of the Ola S1 Air. It will have drum brakes on both ends, telescopic front forks, and twin rear shock absorbers. The scooter will also have a functional grab rail and a fresh bright green paint job.
