BMW Motorrad India has launched the new BMW F 900 XR at a sticker price of Rs 12.30 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. To be available as completely built-up units (CBU), the adventure sports tourer can be booked at BMW Motorrad dealerships. BMW F 900 XR deliveries will begin in June 2022 while it will be sold and serviced through the BMW Motorrad authorized dealer network, present across important centers in India. The bike gets a major upgrade in terms of features while powered by the same engine as its predecessor.


The term 'XR' stands for mix of sportiness and touring capability. The bike flaunts LED headlights along with fairing and a short tail. BMW F 900 XR features a bolt-on steel rear frame with a short underfloor silencer. The standard features include Dynamic ESA, Keyless Ride and center stand while it is also equipped with a fully-colored 6.5-inch multifunctional instrument cluster with BMW Motorrad Multi-Controller. The rider can operate mobile phone and media functions without having to install an app. In addition, telephone calls and music playback is available via Bluetooth connection. BMW Motorrad Connectivity App and practical arrow navigation with route import and multiple waypoint guidance on the display also come as standard fitment.


As part of the Dynamic package, the F 900 XR can be availed with additional features in the form of Headlight Pro, Daytime Riding Lights and Gear Shift Assist Pro. There is also an Active package on offer which includes bells and whistles like Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Engine Brake Control (MSR), Heated Grips, Adaptive Cornering Lights, Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro and case holders. The suspension duties are helmed by an upside-down telescopic fork at front while there is a double-sided swinging arm with central suspension strut at the rear. A comprehensive range of optional equipment and original BMW Motorcycle accessories are available for further individualization of the new BMW F 900 XR.
