MG Hector, Astor, Comet EV, and ZS EV Get 100-Year Limited Edition; Prices Start at INR 14.81 Lakh

MG Motor India has rolled out the new 100-Year Limited Edition of the famous Astor, ZS EV, Comet EV, and Hector models in India. The new limited-edition models pay tribute to the brand’s 100-year racing history. The MG Comet, Hector, ZS EV, and Astor now come in a British Racing Green shade. MG’s 100-year Limited Editions feature special badging and the latest ‘Evergreen’ paint scheme, which was usually seen on vintage British racing cars until the 1960s.

The Astor and Hector are available in the same Sharp Pro variant, which is priced at INR 14.81 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 21.20 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. On the other hand, the MG Comet 100-Year Limited Edition gets the Exclusive FC trim, priced at INR 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom). MG is offering the ZS EV in the Exclusive Plus variant, which is priced at INR 24.18 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 100-Year Limited Edition cars feature an ‘Evergreen’ exterior with dark finished elements and a starry black finished roof. There’s a 100-Year Edition badge on the tailgate. Inside, the new models get an all-black theme, with the front seat headrests embroidered with the words 100-Year Edition. The limited-edition models have an ‘Evergreen’ themed head unit and a widget color that can be customized. The auto giant has not made any mechanical changes to these models.

The Chief Commercial Officer of MG Motor India, Satinder Singh Bajwa, commented on the launch of the 100-Year Limited Edition cars and stated that “the launch of our 100-Year Limited Edition is a testament to our enduring legacy and passion for automotive excellence. The ‘Evergreen’ colour holds a special place in our hearts, embodying the spirit of performance and heritage that define the brand. MG aims to establish itself as a brand renowned for its rich legacy, one that continues to resonate with customers for years to come.”

In the Indian market, the MG Comet EV gives tough competition to the likes of the Tigor EV and Tiago EV, whereas the MG ZS EV competes with the BYD Atto 3. On the other hand, the MG Astor rivals the likes of the Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The MG Hector locks horns with the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Alcazar, and Mahindra XUV700.
