The automaker recently unveiled two new variants of the Hector SUV: Select Pro and Shine Pro.

MG Motor India has reduced the price of the Hector mid-size SUV. Buyers will now get a flat discount of INR 96,000 on purchasing the SUV. After the price cut, the MG Hector is available at a price of INR 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The entry-level variant was earlier priced at INR 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the second time that the auto giant has dropped the price of its famous model. In February, the automaker offered a discount of NR 5,000.

The automaker recently unveiled two new variants of the Hector SUV: Select Pro and Shine Pro. The Hector Select Pro is available at a price of INR 17.30 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Shine Pro comes at a price tag of INR 16 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Deputy Managing Director at MG Motor India, Gaurav Gupta, said, “Using insights from our market research, industry analysis, and customer feedback, we have introduced these two latest variants, underscoring our commitment to providing an elevated driving experience, characterized by performance and power, catering to the discerning preferences of SUV enthusiasts."

The Hector Shine Pro variant houses standard features like 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a single-pane sunroof, a 6-speaker sound system, push-button start, LED projector headlights, front and rear fog lights, sequential LED turn indicators, and cruise control.

Inside the cabin, the variants feature leather-wrapped steering, a brushed metal finish (CVT 5-seater), and an all-black interior along with premium upholstery. Both trims also come with push-button engine start/stop and a smart key function.

The new Hector variants come loaded with chrome outside door handles, LED projector headlamps, connected LED taillamps, and floating light turn indicators. The Select Pro gets 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the Hector Shine Pro rolls on 17-inch silver alloy wheels.

In its segment, the MG Hector rivals the likes of 5-seater XUV700 variants, the Mahindra Scorpio N, and the Tata Harrier. The Hector Plus competes with the Tata Safari, the Mahindra XUV700, and the Hyundai Alcazar.
