Legendary US bike maker Harley Davidson has completed 10 years in the Indian market and to commemorate the same the company has launched a limited edition bike in the Indian market. The Street 750 has been given a special India graphics treatment for Indian market and has been launched here and the production of the bike has been limited to only 300 units. The new bike will be a quarter lakh costlier than the normal version of the Street 750. What is even more special about the new bike from the US giant is that it is the maker's first BS-VI compliant bike for the Indian market. The coming months will see the maker making its other bikes BS-VI compliant. The price for the India edition of the Street 750 has been set at Rs. 5.47 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. Apart from the India edition bike, the maker also presented its first ever electric bike LiveWire in India. The LiveWire has already been launched in the domestic market of the brand. Although the company did not disclose the launch date or the price of the bike for the Indian market, the unveil sure hints at the fact that the company plans on bringing the bike to the Indian market.

Talking at the vent commemorating 10 years of the US bike maker in the Indian market, the managing director of Harley Davidson India, Sajeev Rajasekharan stated,

Upholding the legacy for 10 years in India is just the beginning and we will continue to fuel excitement for motorcycle enthusiasts in the country. As the first manufacturers of electric motorcycle in the premium segment, we are ecstatic to bring the livewire for showcase in the country. We will continue to invest in products and experiences to build more riders for Harley-Davidson in line with our more roads plan.

Talking about the limited edition Street 750, apart from the BS-VI compliance the mechanical aspect of the bike remains unchanged. The Street 750 comes with a 750cc, V-Twin liquid cooled engine rated to deliver 53 Bhp and 59 Nm. The transmission duties are handled by a 6 speed unit. The naught to hundred time for the bike is 6 seconds and the top speed is rated at over 170 Kmph. A high performance, sportier version of the Street 750 – called the Street Rod – is also on sale. However, it’s a lot pricier, commanding a premium of over a lakh. The Street Rod is a lot faster than the Street 750, and uses the same 750cc V-Twin engine in a higher state of tune. It also has aggressive ergonomics, making the bike a lot more sportier to ride.
