BMW R 1250 GS & R 1250 GS Adventure launched in India, priced from Rs. 16.85 lakhs.

BMW R 1250 GS & R 1250 GS Adventure launched in India, priced from Rs. 16.85 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the Standard variant. The BMW R 1250 GS Pro is priced at Rs. 20.05 lakhs, R 1250 GS Adventure Standard is priced at Rs. 18.25 lakhs while the Adventure Pro is priced at Rs. 21.95 lakhs.

The German automaker is getting the bikes to India via CBU. Dr. Hans-Christian Baertels, President, BMW Group India, said, “BMW Motorrad GS models offer distinctive, powerful and reliable propulsion when it comes to setting off on an extended tour or a long-distance journey – or simply enjoying the satisfying pleasure of a short weekend trip. No matter whether it is tarmac roads, gravel tracks or rough terrain, the large-capacity GS Adventure gets its riders safely to their destination.”

BMW R 1250 GS is available in Black Storm Metallic and Cosmic Blue Metallic while the R 1250 GS Adventure is available in Ice Grey paintwork. Powering the both the bikes is a 2-cylinder in-line Boxer engine with a displacement of 1254cc that produces a power output of 136 HP at 7750 RPM and a maximum torque of 143 Nm at 6250 RPM.

The bikes are loaded with features such as 6.5 inch full-colour TFT display that gets bluetooth connectivity. The adventure bikes have two riding modes available as standard which includes safety features such as Automatic Stability Control and Hill Start Control.
