Aprilia India has launched its first middleweight adventure bike in India, the Tuareg 660. The adventure bike is available at a price range between INR 18.85 lakh and INR 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom). Alongside this launch, the two-wheeler giant has also revised the prices for its flagship models, the 660 Twins and the RSV4 Factory. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 arrives in the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is available in three color options: Atreides Black, Canyon Sand, and Evocative Dakar Podium. The Canyon Sand and Atreides Black versions are priced at INR 18.85 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Evocative Dakar Podium color shade comes at a price of INR 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Tuareg 660 has now become the costliest middleweight ADV available in the country because of its outrageous pricing.

The adventure motorcycle houses updated features like four riding modes, engine brake control, switchable ABS, multi-level traction control, and more. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 comes equipped with a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike has 860 mm of seat height and a ground clearance of 240 mm.

The Aprilia Tuareg ADV is the third bike to be underpinned on the new 660 platform. The motorcycle features a purposeful design, taking inspiration from Dakar bikes. It gets a fuel tank design, an LED headlamp, a tall windscreen, and radiator shrouds. The bike's exposed trellis frame and sparse fairing further enhance its rough appearance.

The Tuareg 660 rolls on 18-inch rear and 21-inch front spoked wheels with tubeless tyres. Powering the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is a 659-cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine churns out peak power of 80 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a torque of 79 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The Tuareg 660 is backed by a tubular frame featuring a progressive linkage monoshock at the rear and 43 mm USD front forks with 240 mm of travel. Braking duties are done by twin discs with dual-channel ABS at the front and a single disc with ABS at the back.

In its segment, the new Aprilia Tuareg 660 will give tough competition to well-known models like the Honda XL750 Transalp, 2024 Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F 850 GS, and Suzuki V-Strom 800DE.
