Kawasaki India has launched the 2022 Versys 1000 at a sticker price of Rs 11.55 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. Being available in Candy Lime Green Type 3 color, the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 deliveries will start from mid of November in the Indian market. The superbike sits on an aluminium twin-tube frame while also getting the K-Care package which includes extended warranty and annual maintenance contract for four years. It also offers transfer of package to a subsequent owner at the time of vehicle resale.

The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 flaunts twin LED headlamps upfront with an adjustable windscreen. Some of the notable features include a DC charging socket with 40 W output, Electronic Cruise Control, Kawasaki Cornering Management Functions (KCMF), Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) and Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS). The front and rear suspension settings have been updated while braking duties are helmed by radial-mounted calipers at the front. The 2022 Versys 1000 rivals the likes of Triumph Tiger 900, Honda Africa Twin, Ducati Multistrada 950 and BMW R1250GS in the Indian market. This is the second Kawasaki model in the Versys range as the 650 is already on sale in India.

The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 is powered by a 1043cc liquid-cooled in-line four engine which develops maximum power output of 118 bhp at 9,000 rpm and highest torque performance of 102 Nm at 7,500 rpm. This engine is based on the Ninja 1000 while linked to a 6-speed transmission alongside a slipper clutch. As for the K-Care package, it is already available with several Kawasaki bikes such as Ninja ZX-10R, Ninja 300, Ninja 650, Z650, Z900 and Vulcan S. The 2022 Kawasaki Versys on-road price in Delhi will be around Rs 13.06 Lakhs which includes Tax Collection at Source (Rs 11,550), Insurance (Rs 41,311), Registration Charges (Rs 97,430) and Processing Charges (Rs 1,500).
