Kawasaki India has launched the BS6 compliant 2021 Vulcan S at a sticker price of Rs 5.79 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. The new version of the middleweight cruiser from Kawasaki will be offered in an all-new dual-tone Metallic Flat Raw Graystone colour. The bookings for the new 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S BS6 have already started at all the company authorized dealerships across India while deliveries will start in a few days. It directly challenges the Harley Davidson Street 750 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 in the Indian market.
The new Vulcan S is equipped with an ERGO-FIT sizing system which comes with adjustable riding positions for handle, seat and foot peg. It also boasts of a parallel twin engine which is the lightest in the twin cylinder cruiser segment. Some of the other salient features of the new cruiser includes Slim backbone-style rear frame.
Linkage-equipped offset laydown single-shock and Gear Position Indicator. The bike gets red accents on the fuel tank and alloy wheels. Besides the new color scheme, the motorcycle is unchanged with no cosmetic updates at all. The company had introduced the 2021 Z650 and 2021 Ninja 650 with a new instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity but the Vulcan S is deprived of the new console.
Having a wheelbase of 1575mm, the 2021 BS6 Kawasaki Vulcan S suspension duties are taken care of by 41mm telescopic forks with 130mm travel upfront while there is a off-set type mono-shock setup with pre-load adjustment at the rear. The company is offering dual 300mm disc brakes at front while there is a 300mm single disc at the rear. Needless to say, dual-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is available as standard feature. Mechanically, it is powered by a BS6 compliant 649cc engine which churns out top power of 60bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 62.4Nm at 7000rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox, as before. The BS6 Vulcan S is nearly Rs 30,000 more expensive than the BS4 model.
