The company has ramped up production at its Ranjangaon plant to meet demand.

The company has announced that it has received over 10,000 bookings for the Compass SUV. The car, which was launched on July 31, 2017, has received over 92,000 inquiries so far. Deliveries began on August 6, 2017.

Jeep is now ramping up production at its Ranjangaon plant with two shifts, working six days a week. This is the company’s first locally assembled model and around 65 percent of its parts are sourced locally. The Compass is currently sold out of 50 outlets across 47 cities in India and the company will expand its network to 60 outlets by the end of the year.

Priced from ₹14.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Compass is available in three trims – Sport, Longitude and Limited. There are a total of ten variants with two engine and transmission options. The SUV also comes with a whole range of tech - a 5.0-inch (7.0-inch on top-spec models) touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry and go, dual front airbags (side and curtain airbags are available with the 4x4 variant), ABS, EBD, stability and traction control and Jeep’s SelecTerrain 4WD system for the four-wheel-drive diesel trims.
