TVS Motors recently announced that it will enter the sport scooter segment in Indonesia. TVS disclosed that it will be launching a new model based on TVS X. TVS Motors is an Indian motorcycle manufacturer famous for its global presence and motorcycles worldwide. The Indian motorcycle manufacturer has an international presence in over 80 countries across Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. Now the company has plans to enter the scooter segment in Indonesia as well.
To manufacture sport scooters in Southeast Asian countries, TVS Motors has collaborated with ION Mobility, its partner based in Singapore. For the Indonesian market, ION Mobility and TVS Motors will be manufacturing new electric vehicles. ION Mobility will develop a new two-wheeler based on its recently launched TVS X. The upcoming model will be an adaptation of the crossover TVS X electric scooter. TVS Motors recently launched a new electric scooter called TVS X at an event held in Dubai. In the Indian market, the TVS X becomes the first electric maxi-scooter, and it is loaded with upgraded features and technology.
TVS Motors shared that it will be launching a new model based on the TVS X at the Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) on Wednesday. ION Mobility and TVS Motors started a joint venture in February 2023. This joint venture was started in Indonesia to reach out to sports adventurists who prefer a two-wheeler that provides speed and performance. During the press release, the company made a statement that ION Mobility had earlier introduced the M1-S electric motorcycle, and now, under Project Dynamo, it will set foot in the sport scooter segment in Indonesia.
The President of Group Strategy at TVS Motor, Mr. Sharad Mohan Mishra, stated that “we are excited to solidify our partnership with ION Mobility to drive premium electric two-wheeler growth in Indonesia with the showcase of Project Dynamo at the Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS).”

Apart from Indonesia, TVS Motors has also entered the Venezuelan market. TVS Motors has now become the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to enter Venezuela. TVS has teamed up with a local distributor known as Servisuministros jpg. A wide range of three- and two-wheelers will be retailed by Servisuministros jpg, including models like the HLX, Raider 125, Sport 100, XL 100 moped, TRAK 150, HLX Stryker, and the Apache series. In Venezuela, TVS Motors will unveil models like the King Cargo and King GS three-wheelers.
