Maruti Suzuki has launched the made-in-India Jimny 5-door SUV in the Indonesian market. The Jimny 5-door unveiled in Indonesia comes without a push-button, which is used to start and stop the engine. The model unveiled for the Indonesian market is built in India, and it is identical to the outgoing Jimny model. Maruti Suzuki offers the Jimny 5-door in India in two variants: Alpha and Zeta. Both versions come with the optional AT transmission. In the Indian market, the Jimny is available at a price range between INR 12.74 lakh and INR 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Jimny 5-door is powered by the same 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 103 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 134 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed torque converter AT transmission. As a standard, the SUV has a 4-wheel-drive powertrain.
The manufacturer also unveiled a Thunder Edition of the Jimny recently. The new Edition comes at a starting cost of INR 10.74 lakh, and it goes up to INR 14.05 lakh (ex-showroom). As a standard, the new model comes with many accessories like a door visor, side door cladding, a front skid plate, door sill guard, floor mat and graphics on the exterior, a grip cover in rustic tan, and more.
