Okinawa Autotech Pvt. Ltd is a 100% Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturing company which was established in the year 2015. The company started production with the core values of working towards a sustainable future. It is on a mission to create two-wheelers that can lead India towards sustainability. Jeetender Sharma and Rupali Sharma found Okinawa with a mindset of pioneering technology and offering cutting edge designs to the endearing Indian customers. The company is headquartered in JMD Megapolis, Gurugram whereas the manufacturing facility is located at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. Currently, there is only a single Okinawa scooter model in India known as Ridge E-Scooter. The launch of new Okinawa scooter models depends upon how Ridge performs in the Indian market.

As for the standard features, Okinawa scooters in India come with regular a scooter like design – big headlight on the fascia, indicators mounted on the handlebar, ample amount of footboard space. This scooter sports telescopic suspension, allow wheels, tubeless tyres. There’s also a decent amount of storage under the seat. 

Ridge is based on the electric concept and is powered by an 800-watt electric motor. The model can be propelled to a maximum speed of 55 kmph. The scooter takes 6 to 8 hours for full charge, however, if one enters the fast charging mode, the model can be charged in less than two hours.

Okinawa scooter comes with tubeless tyres, drum brakes and alloy wheels. Up front, it gets a telescopic suspension and a fully digital speedometer. It has the capacity to carry a load of up to 150kg. The company is offering the Ridge in four colours – red, green-gold, red-white-and white. Currently, there are 20 showrooms in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Okinawa plans to introduce two more products by the end of this year. 

Okinawa scooters price in India starts at INR 45,000. The scooter model is not available everywhere. There are a limited number of dealerships from where you can purchase this bike. If you are an electric scooter enthusiast and wish to purchase the scooter for a cheaper price, you can opt for a used Okinawa Ridge model. A used model is priced between INR 30,000 to 39,000 based upon the condition of the model.
