About Kinetic

HK Firodia founded kinetic Engineering Limited in the year 1972. The Indian automotive manufacturer was formerly involved in the manufacturing of automotive component. Later, a joint venture with Honda led to the birth of Kinetic Honda through which they used to sell two-wheelers. Kinetic reached great heights and achieved a lot not just in the domestic market but the international market as well. The models were extensively exported to Argentina, Brazil, the US and Sri Lanka. Kinetic scooters which used to come with electric start and gearless transmissions were way ahead of time.

Together Honda & Kinetic forged a strong bond which led to considerable success for both the companies. Finally, in the year 1998 both, the companies parted ways. In the year 2008, Kinetic entered into a joint venture with Mahindra wherein Mahindra held 80% stake. Through this, Mahindra acquired two-wheeler manufacturing facilities along with the model rights. Kinetic ceased the production and re-entered the market in the year 2011. Finally, in 2014, Kinetic sold its stake in Mahindra Two-Wheelers to Samena Capital and a year after that, they tied up with MV Augusta to help them make their Indian debut.

Kinetic introduced a total of 17 bike models in the Indian market – SYM Flyte, Euro, Kine, Jupiter, Blaze, 4S, Nova, Kinetic Honda GF, Zing, Marvel and Pride are some of the most popular Kinetic scooters in India. Majority of these Kinetic scooters in India came with a 4-stroke engine and Italian design. Among the most popular Kinetic scooter models, Kinetic Zing is the most popular model.

The only scooter model to surpass the INR 60,000 mark was the new Kinetic scooter model in Kinetic Blaze Disc. If you wish to buy Kinetic scooters, then there are a lot of options available. The best option is to buy a used Kinetic scooter model. There are plenty of auto portals which can help you get the best deal. With Mahindra’s takeover, the only thing Kinetic is involved in right now is helping MV Augusta.
