Volvo is a Swedish automobile manufacturing company based in Gothenburg and was founded by Assar Gabrielsson and Gustav Larson in the year 1927. Its nomenclature Volvo was derived from "I roll" in Latin, conjugated from "Volvere", in reference to ball bearings.
