The Japanese manufactured entered the Indian market in the year 2009. It did so by forging an alliance Bajaj Motorcycles. However, just a year later it went on to establish its own subsidiary in the year 2010 where it started on its own. Initially it started assembling a couple of bikes at Bajaj’s Akurdi facility. Among the first models to be assembled included the Ninja 250R. There are currently five models which Kawasaki manufactures at the plant – Z250, Ninja 650, Ninja 300, ER6n and the Versys 650.
