How to change wiper blades

Old windshield wipers become hard and cracked with time due to hot weather and water. In case the wiper(s) leave streaks of water in the windshield, you know that it's time to change it!

Wiper Blades

1) You need to replace only the rubber blades on the wiper.

2) Raise the metal portion of the wiper arm in a position perpendicular to the windshield. You can put a folded towel on the windshield to prevent the windshield from getting damaged, just in case the metal arm snaps back while you are changing the blades.

3) Unhook the wiper blades from the joint where the rubber blade meets the metal arm. Press the plastic stopper and remove the old blade to separate it from the metal arm.

4) Gently pivot the new wiper until the hook snaps into place to secure it. Remove the towel and gently lay the wiper on the windshield. Repeat the same for the other wiper, if required.
